India has always been the ‘colourful capital of the east’. This saying was rightly proven when Dr Suman Gupta, a painter hailing from Sultanpur, showcased her paintings.

India has always been the ���colourful capital of the east���. This saying was rightly proven when Dr Suman Gupta, a painter hailing from Sultanpur, showcased her paintings.
The exhibition that was inaugurated Jagdish Gandhi, Dr AP Tikku, Azmat Ali and Prabhakar Rai was a huge success. The title of the exhibition being prerna i.e. inspiration, surely inspired a lot for the young painters that witnessed the exhibition.

The paintings were made on hardboard with the use of oil colours, which is an extremely difficult task, but it was done magnificently by Suman.
It contained paintings ranging from glimpses of village life to images showing dark patches of life. But the one painting that stole everyone���s heart was a painting titled ���aim��� that depicted a horse running out of a cyclone looked so realistic that no one could leave the exhibition without seeing it twice.
